Tonusa T-Series bath vanities were tested and certified against American National Standard ANSI/KCMA A161.1-2000, Performance and Construction Standard for Kitchen and Vanity Cabinets.

The Wood Materials and Engineering Laboratory (WMEL) is an interdisciplinary research facility at Washington State University. The WMEL has received international acclaim during its long history spanning more than five decades of research in collaboration with industry, government agencies, and other universities.

Tonusa has contracted the WMEL to conduct extensive wood testing to several types of its wood boards including:

1. Moisture Absorption / Thickness Swell – according to ASTM D 1037-99 Standard
Test Method for Evaluating Properties of Wood-Base Fiber and Particle Panel
Materials; Sections 100-107

2. Linear Expansion – according to ASTM D 1037-99 Standard
Test Method for Evaluating Properties of Wood-Base Fiber and Particle Panel
Materials;Sections 108-111

3. Temperature Effects – no specific standard.

Vanity Top Testing and Certification

The vanity top is probably the most “used” and “abused” part of any bath vanity. Tonusa has applied for UPCR (Uniform Plumbing Code) certification for its entire line of T-Series bath vanities and was awarded its UPCR Certificate.

Products listed on this certificate have been tested by an IAPMO R&T recognized laboratory. This recognition has been granted based upon the laboratory’s compliance to the applicable requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.
